State Fund Today
During the month of November, we invited employees to join a Walking Challenge to raise money for our partners at Kids' Chance of California. We called it “Stepping Up for the Kids”.
Kids' Chance of California is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide need-based educational scholarships to the children of California workers who sustained serious or fatal injuries on the job.
Throughout the challenge, everyone was encouraged to learn how the meaningful work we do at State Fund plays a part in bringing awareness to Kids' Chance, and how we connect catastrophically injured workers’ families to their organization.
A total of 1,181 participants, which included State Fund employees as well as external participants from the Kids’ Chance organization, came together to walk 81,984 miles – putting us well over our goal of 50,000 miles.
With this accomplishment, State Fund will donate $50,000 to Kids’ Chance of California.
