If you get injured at work, you may not know how to find treatment. Our policyholders and their employees can use our Provider Finder, to help find local, qualified, in-network medical providers to treat workplace injuries.
You can find providers across the state by name, distance, and specialty. Telehealth options are available, and many facilities are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

If you need additional assistance locating an available medical provider or scheduling a medical appointment, contact your claims adjuster. We have Medical Access Assistants who are available to help you Monday through Saturday, 7 AM to 8 PM.
The goal of the Medical Provider Network (MPN) is to ensure a high quality of treatment and to control costs. Learn more about our MPN.
The MPN also offers the convenience of telehealth for injuries where an in-person visit either isn’t necessary or is not the best option due to illness, geographic location, or at a time outside of the normal operating hours for most clinics.
Your mileage to and from your medical provider office is reimbursable. Complete our Medical Mileage Expense Form and submit it to us to receive your mileage reimbursement.
On your first visit to the pharmacy, you must fill out and provide the myMatrixx Workers' Compensation Temporary Prescription ID Card (Pharmacy). This will expedite the processing of your prescriptions.
Your Primary Treating Physician will guide your treatment throughout your claim. They’ll decide the type of medical care you will receive, when you can return to work, and will identify the kinds of work you can do while recovering.
They’ll also write reports, which will affect the benefits you receive and will refer you to a specialist, if necessary.
You can change your medical provider by contacting your claims adjuster. They will first attempt to resolve any issues with the medical provider and can then facilitate the change. It's important to note that you can’t change your doctor within the first 30 days after the report of injury.
State Fund's Utilization Review Program establishes a review of the treatment plan proposed for employees with a work-related injury or illness. Through the program, medical professionals approve, modify, delay, or deny treatment recommendations based on medical necessity.

You may request additional medical care if you have a recurrence after your original treatment has ended. You have one full year after your last treatment to notify us of your request.
