The State Fund Medical Provider Network (MPN) helps manage employer’s medical costs through a diverse network of qualified physicians, specialists, and providers that specialize in the treatment of occupational injuries.
Quality Care and Medical Access
The State Fund MPN is made up of select physicians and other medical service providers within California:
- Some physicians primarily treat occupational injuries and others specialize in specific areas of medicine
- If necessary, the State Fund MPN will provide specialists to treat the injury or illness
Using the State Fund MPN for treating occupational injuries and illnesses gives employers medical access for the life of the claim, with limited exceptions.
Convenient and Accessible
Statewide, the State Fund MPN provides covered employees with:
- Approved medical facilities close to home or work
- Many facilities are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
- Telehealth Services

If you need assistance locating an available State Fund MPN physician or scheduling a medical appointment, and you’re unable to reach your claims adjuster, medical access assistants are available to help you Monday through Saturday, 7 AM to 8 PM at (888) 782-8338 or fax at (800) 371-5905.
