The Workers’ Compensation Reform Act, and its later amendments, increases workers’ compensation benefits; implements mandatory arbitration and settlement conferences; changes the name of the Division of Industrial Accidents to Division of Workers’ Compensation; reduces the retroactive periods of disability from 21 to 14 days.
